Training Committee Chair
Job Description
The Training Committee Chair is a top-level committee position that reports to the District Committee Chair. They oversee a team of trainers who support local units.

Event Coordination: Plan, schedule, and execute in-person training events such as BALOO (Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation) and IOLS (Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills).

Staff Recruitment: Recruit, qualify, and build staff teams to teach specialized courses, ensuring compliance with Scouting America training guidelines.

Tracking & Administration: Monitor district-wide training records via my.Scouting.org, review trained-leader reports, and assist volunteers with proper data entry.

Awards Processing: Review applications and sign off on Training Awards and Recognition pins and knots earned by local leaders.
